Alps
Between them Steve and Matt have racked up a significant amount of Alpine experience in the French, Swiss and Austrian Alps.
Matt's early start with the Venture's saw him doing two week summer expeditions to the following resorts: Zermatt, Neustift, Schladming, Solden and, Fusch. As well as climbing many mountains these summer expeditions gave Matt the chance to try canyoning and white water rafting along with some serious down hill mountain biking. The same year that Matt left Venture Scouts he started snowboarding and since then has been snowboarding in Andorra (Pas de la Casa, Arinsal and, Soldeu) and in the French resorts of Avoriaz, Flaine, Tignes, Chamonix and Les Arc.
Steve has also been snowboarding in Flaine with Matt. Additionally Steve has completed two summer expeditions to the Alps. As well as climbing Mont Blanc in 2006 Steve climbed the Eiger via the south ridge.
Matt has returned to the Alps in the summer for the first time in 13 years. Strictly speaking he was staying in Rolle on the other side of Lake Leman from the Alps but he did go up Rochers de Naye and the weather was stunning so here a couple of pics just to prove he was really there.
