Scotland

Matt first visited Scotland age 11 on a family holiday. The family decided to climb Ben Nevis and Matt was so excited he ran the first half of the ascent. His dad gallantly tried to keep up but was soon left behind. When Matt realised his family and the Mars Bars were nowhere to be seen he waited until his dad caught up and the two of them completed the climb together. Since then Matt has only visited Ben Nevis once and unfortunately both the weather and the people he was with were too crap too get to the top.

Steve has visited Scotland a lot more to do his Ice Climbing. He first tried it a few years ago with a course run by Plas Y Brenin and has been back every winter since. Steve usually stays in Fort William and climbs ice cliffs around Aonach Mor and the Nevis Range.

Here are a selection of pictures from Steve's many ice climbs

In July 2009 they visited the Isle of Skye.

Inspired by the Skye trip, they decided to do a road trip around the rest of the highlands of Scotland in 2010.
